This work exemplifies my passion for art in service of community. Priestess of Generosity was created for Generosity Sunday, an event of the Network of Spiritual Progressives (NSP.) NSP is a national organization whose members believe that Spirituality and Politics inform each other and lead to a new bottom line—one that promotes kindness and justice for all. The priestess' basket was filled with little bundles that included 'three sisters' with planting instructions*, a chocolate kiss for sweetness, and some crayons for creativity along with a mini-book about the event. The performance was also conceived to foster mingling and good cheer among people in the audience, who were scattered in the large park where the festival took place.
